Interesting thought. My opinion is that the educational system has degraded to the point that all we are capable of is to be a specialist in only one particular discipline. We are not holistically educated, we do not have the ability overall to think across disciplines; to think outside the box. Innovation in many regards is frowned upon. If we have not studied a case study similar to the problem we are witless to solve it. We do not teach our students how to think and be proactive we train them to be automatons and react . So is a degree really worth it?
