Is there anything a 6-year-old first grader can do that warrants handcuffs? When I was in first grade punishment consisted of standing in the back of the classroom and maybe doing a light calisthenics while in the back of the classroom. This is horrifying that handcuffs and other extreme security measures in schools are occurring. This event can damage little Ja’Briel’s and other children’s educational development into the future and needs to end.
