Slavery was the scourge of America. Joe McGill is doing us and our future generations a great service in bringing light to these vanishing structures. Many of us cannot afford to visit the sites in Africa where our ancestors were last held in bondage before embarking on their journey to these shores. The sites Mr. McGill has helped bring attention to is a major part of our history and needs to be preserved.
