This is an excellent article by Nsenga Burton. Black women in Hollywood should be able to be “green lighted” to develop projects for black women. It shouldn’t just be Tyler Perry or Lee Daniels making those movies in fact, they should be supporting and nurturing (financing) projects done by black women for black women. My money was some of the $11 million take on Something New, that was a good movie and it as well as Just Wright and any other film made by us for us need our box office dollars. We are missing out on some really good entertainment when we do not support our films.
