Hawaii lawmaker plans resolution to ban N-word

Symbolic gesture by John Mizuno, that does not have the power of law but a gesture indeed. Why don’t all state legislators and Congress introduce similar resolutions? Would that help the cause of eliminating the N-word from our lexicon?
