Excellent commentary by Alan Bean and the folks at Friends of Justice. I have read Michelle Alexander’s “The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindness” and recommend everyone to read this book. It brings specific issues about justice and incarceration into a specific light. The article as well as the book is thought provoking.
