I would like to hear from the family in the UK on this one. What I found interesting is that some in the United Kingdom admit that this is the “…result of decades of racial prejudice in the criminal justice system and an overly punitive approach to penal affairs.” The bluntness and honesty of that statement is refreshing. However, how can we solve this problem? This article really drives home the fact that both the United Kingdom and the United States face some of the same issues about race and incarceration.
