Black and Hispanic single mothers has zero median wealth. ZERO. That is surprising and depressing. When America encounters an economic recession or depression our community suffers earlier, longer and more dramatically than the majority. When looking at this issue from that viewpoint it stands to reason that single mothers bear a tremendous burden and the brunt of the economic storm.
