Excellent piece by Dr. Boyce Watkins. Is it a lack of “positive advertising” to the mainstream, especially corporate recruiters? Is it a lack of knowledge, support, pride and promotion by our own community? Is it just another example of the institutionalized racism of the United States? Is it all the above and much more? The one fact is that the quality of education from a HBCU in many respects is superior than the education gained from the majority schools.
