I agree with the President. Why should oil companies receive tax breaks when the six major American oil companies have racked up over $38 billion in profits and counting? Why should the wealthy who are continuing to generate and re-generate wealth for themselves receive excessive tax breaks? Of course, this would not solve our out of this world deficit. It would help. We need more. Having excessive congressional breaks that allow time for the good for nothing blowhards to posture on television, radio, and print without legislating is unacceptable to the American citizenry. August is looming large and if there is not an agreement on the debt-ceiling, if you think it’s BAD NOW it will be CATASTROPHIC then.

Respectfully, the CBO just released s statement saying that we ended the Bush tax cuts for those making more than $250,000 – net – and spending remained at today’s rate; in FIVE years the deficit would be gone.
