There’s a wave sweeping “red country” to keep American citizens from voting. It is definitely reminiscent of Jim Crow. Basically if you are a person of color, poor, and/or living on the “other” side of the line your ability to vote will be hindered by providing “proof” that you are qualified to vote. I have never understood why persons who have served their time for crimes committed are not allowed to vote. Are they not American citizens? Bill Clinton hit the nail on the head by saying, “Why should we disenfranchise people forever once they’ve paid their price?”
