If you caught the BET Awards last night, you may have already seen this. Black Nativity opens on Thanksgiving Day-EVE on November 27, 2013. The movie is based on Libretto by Langston Hughes and the screenplay adapted by Kasi Lemmons (Candyman and Silence of the Lambs) who also directed. It’s about a teen from Baltimore who is sent to New York by his mother to spend the holiday with his estranged relatives. Black Nativity stars Jennifer Hudson, Angela Bassett, Forest Whittaker, Mary J. Blige, Tyrese Gibson, and Jacob Latimore.
