‘Cracking the Code’ to Keeping Manufacturing Jobs in America

Posted on August 5, 2010 by The Soul Brother

Gov. Granholm of Michigan writes a very positive article about how companies in Michigan are waking up and beginning to stem the tide of corporate offshoring of American jobs. That is only one state out of 50. What are the other 49 doing? The hemorrhaging has to stop. I agree not all jobs can be prevented from being exported to countries like India. However, the tide of globalization must be weighed against the financial and economic health of American labor and economy.

Google and Verizon in Talks on Selling Internet Priority

Posted on August 5, 2010 by The Soul Brother

This is a horrible development the end of Net neutrality. If this happens it will compromise the equality all content has on the net. Some voices will be heard over others, some will not be heard at all. This can lead to a form of internet censorship of information and ideas.

Antoine Dodson: Why He Makes Us Laugh and Uncomfortable.

Posted on August 5, 2010 by The Soul Brother

Nice piece by Boyce Watkins. Personally, I commend Antoine Dodson’s heroism. That is what a man is supposed to do protect the women in his life; his family. His sexual orientation has nothing to do with that.

Darts shot at Obama likeness in Pa. carnival game

Posted on August 5, 2010 by The Soul Brother

Where is the respect in our society gone? This is not a black or white issue but a respect issue, whether you believe in Barack Obama’s ideology or not,  HE IS THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. That deserves a certain amount of respect. This is shameful and a sad dialogue on the state of the American society.
