This still gets me goin! The beat was HOT! I will be back in the Boogie Down Bronx in 31 days and I can’t wait! I swear one of the kids at the beginning of the video resembles Pitbull with the sunglasses.
A classic and sometimes forgotten hit from Ice Cube!
This series was some of the best educational programming EVER on network television. It is timeless and I along with millions of other kids in the 70’s grew up on this. Take a moment to reminisce, call the kids to the computer, and maybe take some notes because you forgot the subject. Don’t worry though, next Saturday the Soul Brother will post another episode.
A lil throwback jam for a Saturday morning. Is it just me or is Deborah Cox an under appreciated talent? Enjoy this great song!
A simply beautiful song. The message is always in the lyrics!
This event didn’t get any significant network news coverage, however this is an significant event and hopefully will clear the way for relief money and reconstruction to begin in high gear.

The sites Mr. McGill has helped bring attention to is a major part of our history and needs to be preserved.
Sleeping in to save S.C. slave cabins – U.S. news – Life – msnbc.com.
To be honest he’s speaking the truth from this perspective: if more people smoked maybe we would not have as much crime, senseless killing, and racism. It may mellow some folks out that are severe need of some mellowing. Have some laughs, its good therapy!
This was a disturbingly interesting article for me to read. Affirmative action programs has attempted to level the playing field for ALL minorities not just race related minorities. Affirmative action programs and laws have helped women, physically & mentally challenged persons-white, black and any other color and ethnicity for years in our country to attain levels of achievement and opportunity that otherwise may not have existed. America has deep divides when it comes to equality not just racial divides but divides of anything or anyone “outside” of norms determined by different individual cadres of citizens. Instead of attempting to heal those divides as an elected official James Webb has contributed to a greater divide.
