Is America coming around to attempting to make amends to it indigenous peoples? We all know that Native Americans in many respects have been marginalized to such a degree that even now in 2010 they have some of the highest rates of suicide, alcoholism, and poor health than any ethnic group in the United States. Yet it has been hard-fought and he conclusion is still far. The Khulumani case and this decision for Native Americans; can we build a solid case for reparations for African-Americans? Oil profits were not stolen from us unlike in the Native American case but can this and Khulumani be used as a template?
