This is an eye opening article from Darrick Hamilton and William Darity Jr. from The American Prospect. A African-American or Latino family will have to work three years and save 100% of their income to even attempt to close the wealth gap? Wow! As a community we need to stop spending on the latest, greatest, and flashiest items and product. We need to educate ourselves about money, the power of it, and savings. That would be a step we can take and control. I agree wholeheartedly that, “we should strive not for a race-neutral America but a race-fair America.”
