This is an excellent suggestion, along with extending the school day. The extra month and time will allow for a deeper more extensive coverage of subject matter allowing students mastery time of material, thereby higher academic achievement.

All good ideas have their price tag. As great as it sounds, who is going to pay for it? Our local schools have shortened the school year, do to budget cuts, by at least two weeks.
Good point. Money is always the question. Congress yesterday, killed a stopgap spending bill that would have supplied some monies. However, the government is not the complete answer. Thank you for visiting.
