Unlike Sinead O’Connor, Gaga lets the imagery of the video be a matter of interpretation. Sinead O’Connor committed an obvious affront to Christianity by making a very inflammatory statement. Gaga lays it all out as art letting us make up our own minds. That I feel is the root of controversy, letting us make our own determination. But, isn’t that what an artist supposed to do?
