Alasdair Thompson deserved to be fired for his comments. They were sexist (by his own admission), crude, and disrespectful. Women have many obstacles in the workplace and to attribute a woman’s lack of performance on natural processes is beyond belief. When will the field for all minorities be leveled?

There’s a wave sweeping “red country” to keep American citizens from voting. It is definitely reminiscent of Jim Crow. Basically if you are a person of color, poor, and/or living on the “other” side of the line your ability to vote will be hindered by providing “proof” that you are qualified to vote. I have never understood why persons who have served their time for crimes committed are not allowed to vote. Are they not American citizens? Bill Clinton hit the nail on the head by saying, “Why should we disenfranchise people forever once they’ve paid their price?”

I believe there is an insult in there, directed to all of us non-millionaires. What’s so pathetic to ask those who have been blessed with material wealth to do more? While they are asking millionaires to do more, why don’t Congress end some of the tax breaks to oil companies? The middle class and poor have nothing else to give.
