My view is that most of the portrayals of black women as well as men reinforce stereotypes, are one-dimensional, superficial, sensationalist, and are not attempting to portray anything different in fear of losing revenue & ratings for the network. Ms. O’Neal contends that “Basketball Wives” reflects life with a professional athlete. I would say that it reflects a percentage of a “contrived” life with a professional athlete. What do you think?
