Progressive Hunter

Glenn Beck

Image via Wikipedia

There is a responsibility to being a television personality. Glenn Beck and others of his ilk are continuous examples of irresponsibility. It seems as though they do not care that millions of people are listening, watching, and more importantly BELIEVING his venom. Believing his venom to the point that they would consider murder. Byron Williams is not alone, there are others out there just like him.  Nestle and other companies have been pulling advertising from Mr. Beck’s show, his ratings are trending downward. Mr. Beck has even gone so far as to call his boss Rupert Murdoch “….an enemy of the free market system.” That statement can be considered insubordination and would have gotten anyone else either suspended or terminated. I’m waiting for the day that Mr. Murdoch realizes his pockets are getting light on his Fox News holdings during the time Mr. Beck’s show airs and cancel his show and contract. John Hamilton needs to be commended for eloquently and convincingly laying out the case against Mr. Beck and others who utilize their media pulpits to foster, “American terrorists.”

M People- Don’t Look Any Further

This was on of my favorite remakes and groups of ’90’s. It is a worthy rendition of the Dennis Edwards’ original.

Solomon Burke- Everybody Needs Someone to Love

Solomon Burke

Image via Wikipedia

We all have heard this song, especially if you have seen The Blues Brothers. Solomon Burke wrote and originally performed this song that was almost immediately redone by the Rolling Stones. His artistrywas renowned and Mr. Burke even  performed at the Vatican for Popes John Paul II and Benedict XVI . We lost a great blues and r&b legend. Imagine the concerts being performed in Heaven.
