    Very few blacks in the guard when I served in the 60’s. Actually met the first black cadet. I thought he was kidding me when he told me he was the first. The enlisted blacks who chose to make the guard a career were the blacks who suffered much. I however can’t over that the guard can not get over the diversity problem after all these years.
