Marc Anthony- You Sang To Me

Siempre me ha gustado esta canción. Se convirtió realmente especial cuando conocí a mi novia. Pienso en ella todos los días. Disfruta de esta y piensa en tu novia.

Captain America: The First Avenger

This summer Marvel is giving us cinematic introductions to two of “The Avengers “who are featured in the 2012 movie of the same name. Last week you saw the trailer to Thor. Today is Captain America’s turn. Of course, I will see them both. Captain America: The First Avenger opens  on July 22.

What Is A Black Man? The sequel-Remember and Never Forget.

I am the first to have breath put into my lungs by God…

I am the first to be created in His image…

I am the first to walk upon God’s creation…

I created language and writing…

I built Kingdoms and Empires that transcends time…

I am the one who received the Covenant from God and delivered His Commandments to all of the land…

God beloved me so much that he came back to Earth in the image He created…

I created medicine…

I was the first to take rock and metal and create tools to aid my existence…

I created mathematics…

I created the wheel….

I created agriculture….

I created art…

I created architecture and my creations have stood the test of time….

I was the Prophets…

My music and dance inspired the world…

I am the greatest of thinkers….

I have endured, survived, and broke the bonds that were put upon me….

I am the progenitor of all there is…. I am the first among all…

What Is A Black Man?

It seems to me some folks seem to be confused about what a real black man is. There seems to be a lot of pretenders out there. As a genuine 100% true to the cause Black Man let me set the record straight.

A Black Man is Kind.

A Black Man is Respectful.

A Black Man is Honorable.

A Black Man is a Warrior.

A Black Man is Truthful.

A Black Man is Wise.

A Black Man is Vigilant.

A Black Man is Patient.

A Black man is Humble.

A Black Man is Disciplined.

A Black Man is Creative.

A Black Man is God-Fearing.

A Black Man is a Lover and Loving.

A Black Man is Righteous.

A Black man is Learned.

A Black Man is Entrepreneurial.

A Black Man is Focused.

A Black Man is a Survivor.

A Black Man is Responsible.

A Black Man is Positive.

A Black Man is Hopeful.

A Black Man is Sincere.

A Black Man is a Protector.

A Black Man is Ingenious.

A Black Man is Dedicated.

A Black Man is the Progenitor.

A Black man is The Man of all ages, an example of greatness that must be respected by all, feared by our enemies, loved by the women in our lives, and the teacher to their children. So they may grow up with pride, respect, and confidence in themselves and their heritage. We are all these things and much, much more!

I AM A BLACK MAN!!!

Tanya McDowell, Conn. Mom, Pleads Not Guilty In School Enrollment Case

First it was Ms. Williams-Bolar in Ohio. Now it’s Ms. McDowell. Obtaining an education is a basic civil right, to me. It is also one of many responsibilities a parent has towards their children. This country has created a climate of “educational apartheid” where if you live in a certain area, certain zip code, and your wage meets a minimum level your schools are good. If not, you and by extension your kids are SOL. I live in the Parkville school district in Kansas City-one of the best in the state of MO. Most of my friends live in the Kansas City School district; let me say it is not Parkville. I would definitely allow my friends to use my address if they wanted or needed to, for the sake of the children and their future. We must level the educational “playing field” so the EVERY child has the same opportunities to learn, grow, and restore the United States as the leader of achievement in the world.

Call-Center Workers Far More Patient Than Callers: Study

Is that right? I could have told you that. I worked as a call center rep about 10 years ago, so I sympathize with everyone who works as one. Many people feel talking on the phone is an anonymous task, they feel it can be an opportunity to be  discourteous, rude, and downright nasty to the person on the other end. Patience and restraint are the MOST desired attributes in the job. You need both when you get calls from people who are calling you every name but a child of God.

The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration of African American Men

Michelle Alexander wrote an excellent book on black incarceration in America. It and “Brainwashed” were two of the best book releases of 2010. I recommend everyone to read it and if you are in NYC on May 21, she will be speaking at Riverside Church

Tyler Perry's House of Payne

On one hand, it will be sad to see House of Pain end it’s run. It was a trailblazer. On the other hand, we will be excited to see a new show telling the story of other familiar characters.

Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, & Busta Rhymes-Look At Me Now

I really like the new Chris Brown CD, it’s nice to see him spring back strong considering his earlier disc wasn’t all that. If he can only act more responsibly and mature. But I digress, this is one of the HOTTEST tracks on F.A.M.E. It’s good to see Busta, Chris’ dance moves (thanks to MJ), and Weezy.
