And so it begins…after yesterday’s love fest the roaches are beginning  to creep out again. As the current President of the United States, President Obama had every right to take credit. Every president who preceded him has done the same thing. Every President heading into a reelection has also politicized a great achievement of their Presidency. It was his political and historical legacy at stake. President Obama did not want to have another “Desert One.” It was he alone in the solemnity of his soul; he alone in the gravitas of the moment who gave the fateful order. He gave the order with full knowledge that if it was a disastrous failure he would have been politically and historically emasculated like his Democratic predecessor Jimmy Carter. President Obama has earned the accolades he is receiving as Commander-in-Chief.  President Obama has a cold poker face and a strategic mind. He went all in and he won. Big! Matt Decker is way off base and is like a kid whining for his big brother after getting knocked down in the schoolyard.  What is most dangerous is that he is fanning and putting gas on the flames of Islamophobia in this country. He makes the claim that a “huge” chunk of Islam is at war with America. Dismissing the freedom movements the American civil rights movement helped to inspire in places like Egypt, Tunisia, and the continuing fights in Libya and Syria. As America’s chief diplomat President Obama and his predecessors before him (Yes,that includes President George W. Bush) has maintained that United States policy is not to wage a war against Islam for that would immediately and irreversibly negate a principle for which this nation was founded. Freedom of religion and freedom from persecution for practicing religion.
